Mr. Lawrence S. Jarnes is 49 years old and has spent a lifetime learning the restaurant industry. At the age of 8 he began working in his parents’ diners and by age 12 he was working on construction projects with customers he met at the restaurants. As an adult, in 1998, he founded both Northboro Builders, Inc. a construction company, and Havana House, a cigar bar in Northboro, MA.

 

Northboro Builders, with its network of contractors, began with residential and then expanded into commercial construction, with a heavy emphasis on food service. Northboro Builders has offices in three states (Orlando and Melbourne, Florida, Rhode Island and Texas). A design build firm, Northboro has provided turn - key build out services to more than 75 brands and has completed over 750 projects nationally. Additionally, Mr. Jarnes is a licensed Construction Supervisor since 2010.

 

In 2004 Mr. Jarnes invested in his first brand concept, a franchise florist concept named “Kaboom”. Since then he has owned and operated multiple different franchises, as well as holding minority interests in other brands. Mr. Jarnes believes that current economic conditions with respect to select commercial real estate, as well as hospitality, restaurant and food service areas offers a unique opportunity for investment. He believes his knowledge, contacts and experience with franchises and brands, together with his construction management skills, provides him with the opportunity to invest in branded food service entities looking to expand and increase their net operating income and value.
